Flytrex, an Israeli drone-based delivery company, has partnered with Unilever to commence drone-based ice cream deliveries for the latter’s virtual storefront “The Ice Cream Shop.” The service will be available to customers in Granbury in Texas and Raeford, Fayetteville, and Holly Springs in North Carolina.
The customers can order from a range of Unilever’s ice cream brands including Ben & Jerry’s, Fudgsicles, Breyers, Good Humor, and Klondike through the Flytrex app. Flytrex promises delivery within three minutes of placing the order.
The flights will be overseen by Flytrex’s long-term drone delivery operator Causey Aviation Unmanned.

Analyst QuickTake: Flytrex commenced its operations in North Carolina in late 2020 by launching in Fayetteville and expanded to include Raeford and Holly Springs last October and Granbury this March. Today’s partnership adds to its recent collaborations with restaurant conglomerate Brinker International and national sandwich chain Jersey Mike’s Subs to strengthen its operations in these geographies. On a separate note, this partnership marks the second back-to-back collaboration of Unilever’s The Ice Cream Shop to automate the ice cream delivery process. Earlier this month, it partnered with Robomart, a developer of autonomous mobile minimarts, for deliveries in Los Angeles, California starting later this year.
