TikTok partners with social media marketing platforms to extend AdTech capabilities

Partnerships

TikTok, the popular video-based social media platform, announced an extension to its marketing partner program and partnered with eight new social media marketing platforms including Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, and Emplifi. TikTok had also recently added Smartly.io (a social media marketing campaign automation platform) and Foursquare (a location-based AdTech solution) to its marketing partner program.

 • As a result of the partnership, the respective marketing automation platforms will be integrated with the TikTok app, allowing TikTok’s users to manage and optimize their content campaigns directly through the platform. Users would be able to schedule and publish content on TikTok while managing cross-platform content. Brands will also be able to track profile and video metrics in real time as well as track conversations happening in the comments sections of their videos for measuring campaign performance.

 • Sprout Social, a social media marketing management platform, experienced a 10% jump in its share price following the announcement of the TikTok integration.

Analyst QuickTake: The slew of partnerships follows TikTok’s recent launch of its contextual advertising solution “TikTok Pulse,” as the firm looks to extend its solutions capabilities. Marketing campaign automation firms also stand to benefit from the integration and would be able to capitalize on TikTok’s growing popularity as a platform for social media marketing and social commerce.
