Einride orders 110 electric trucks from Scania

Partnerships

 • Einride, a Swedish tech developer for autonomous and electric trucks, has ordered 110 battery-electric (BEV) trucks from Swedish commercial vehicle manufacturer Scania, marking the latter’s largest order of the kind to date.

 • The trucks, purpose-built to fit Einride’s hardware specifications, come with a range of around 155 miles and will be retrofitted with Einride’s operating system called “Saga.” Einride plans to deploy the trucks across Europe from late 2022 to mid-2023.

Analyst QuickTake: Today’s news adds Scania to Einride’s growing list of truck suppliers. Its other truck purchase agreements include partnerships with Mercedes-Benz (120 trucks for deployments in Europe; December 2021) and BYD (200 trucks for US deployments; February 2022) .
