Drone Delivery Canada to deliver medical cargo to a hospital in Ontario in partnership with DSV and Halton Healthcare

Partnerships

 • Drone Delivery Canada (DDC), an Ontario-based drone and logistics systems developer, has partnered with DSV Canada, the Canadian division of the global transport and logistics provider DSV, and Halton Healthcare Services Corporation for a six-month commercial pilot to deliver medical cargo by drones to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) in Ontario under an initiative dubbed “Care by Air.” The companies expect to commence deliveries in Q3 2022.

 • The flights will take place between the DSV Canada’s headquarters in Milton, Ontario and the hospital and will be conducted in compliance with applicable civil aviation authorities. The project will utilize DDC’s takeoff and landing stations “DroneSpot” and also newly added related infrastructure at the hospital to support the project.

Analyst QuickTake: DDC has been working together with DSV Canada since 2019 to establish delivery routes to transport goods within and from DSV’s facility in Milton to nearby locations for DSV’s customers including Reckitt Benckiser, a global producer of health, hygiene, and home products. The most recent collaboration of the duo came in March when they partnered to transport potentially hazardous “dangerous goods” within the DSV’s facility.
