Fluence partners with Rich Electric to deploy a 100 MW battery project in Taiwan

Partnerships

 • Fluence, a Nasdaq-listed company offering long-duration energy storage solutions and AI-enabled energy storage optimization software, has partnered with Rich Electric, a Taiwanese developer of power and energy control products.

 • Under the partnership, the two companies will deploy a 100 megawatt battery-based energy storage system in Hualien, Taiwan. This project will also support Taipower’s Automatic Frequency Control (AFC) services and is expected to become Fluence’s largest ACF project in Taiwan.

 • The project is expected to be completed by mid-2023.

Analyst QuickTake: Fluence had previously partnered with Centrica and Google to deploy a 2.75-megawatt Gridstack energy storage product at the data center in Saint-Ghislain, Belgium. The company has deployed and contracted more than 4.8 gigawatts of energy storage systems globally to date.
