Storegga Geotechnologies, a British carbon capture and storage (CCS) solution provider, announced the launch of a new entity “Storegga Americas.” The new hub will explore clean fuel opportunities and will scale up its operations across the US, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
The new business entity will be led by David Cook, managing director of Storegga Americas. David has previously worked as a CEO at Noreco, a Norwegian energy provider and has held senior roles at oil and gas upstream and midstream businesses and renewables such as INEOS, Orsted, TAQA, and BP.
David will be supported by Randy Wheeler, who was previously the general manager at Marquis Resources. Randy also inherits expertise in the US energy sector, having held senior roles at Shoreline, Marlin, Shell, and Enterprise Oil.

This includes deployment of the company’s previously announced carbon capture and storage hub, “Freeport LNG CCS project (FLNG CCS),” along the Mississippi River, in partnership with Talos Energy, a US oil and gas exploration company.</ul>
