Dronamics to manufacture drones in partnership with Cotesa

Product updates
Partnerships

  • Dronamics, a Bulgarian cargo drone manufacturer, has entered into a manufacturing partnership with Cotesa, a German composite fiber components producer, to produce its “Black Swan” automated drones in Europe.

  • The partnership is expected to support the company’s plans to launch its drones for middle-mile deliveries in Europe in 2023.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Today’s partnership comes just two months after Dronamics entered into a separate manufacturing deal with Australian aviation engineering and manufacturing company Quickstep—its first international production partner. The company also obtained the Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC) from the civil aviation authorities in Malta earlier this year. This allows the company to self-authorize beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) flights using its Black Swan drone across the EU. Therefore, today’s partnership marks another important milestone for the company, as it looks to launch drone-based deliveries in Europe.
