upGrad, an online higher education platform, announced that it has acquired Centum Learning, a corporate training solution provider, for an undisclosed amount in a share swap deal.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen the company’s suite of solutions. Post-acquisition, Centum Learning will operate independently under the leadership of Sanjay Bahl, its managing director and CEO.
The company also reported that Centum Learning has 2,000 employees and is expected to report revenue of INR 1.7 billion (~USD 21.3 million) for FY 2023.
Centum Learning offers impact-based training to corporates as well as vocational education and training to schools and college learners. The platform has more than 3,000 specialists and has trained more than 2 million individuals and 400+ corporate brands across India and Africa.
This deal follows upGrad’s acquisition of India-based test preparation provider Exampur in August 2022.
