Amazon partnered with Hudson Group, an operator of airport stores, to launch a checkout-free store powered by Amazon’s Amazon’s Just Walk Out and Amazon One technologies at the Los Angeles International Airport.
The store, named “Hudson Nonstop,” is expected to open within the next few months.
Amazon initially partnered with Hudson in March 2021 to open a Just Walk Out-powered “Hudson Nonstop” store at Dallas Love Field Airport .
Hudson also plans to open another automated store, called “Evolve by Hudson,” at the Los Angeles International Airport in early 2023.
Analyst QuickTake : The announcement closely follows Amazon’s partnership with Star Concessions Ltd to launch a checkout-free concessions store powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Meanwhile, other automated store players such as Zippin and Mashgin also have launched their checkout-free technology at airports.
