Kneron raises USD 48 million in Series B funding

Funding

  • Kneron, an on-device edge AI chip manufacturer, raised USD 48 million in Series B funding led by Horizons Ventures with participation from LITEON, ADATA, and Foxconn. This round comes less than a year after Kneron raised USD 25 million last December and brings its total funding to over USD 140 million.

  • The company plans to invest the funds in expanding its operations and business reach.

  • Analyst Quicktake: Kneron offers a similar solution to Blaize , SiMa.ai , and Syntiant . This space has seen a recent influx of funding with both SiMa.ai and Synitiant having raised funding earlier this year (SiMa.ai raised USD 30 million in May, and Syntiant raised USD 55 million in March). This round puts Kneron marginally ahead of its competition in terms of total funding, matching SiMa.ai’s USD 140 million.
