Volta Trucks partners with Siemens to offer charging infrastructure for trucks

Partnerships

  • Volta Trucks, a Sweden-based developer of fully electric trucks, has partnered with German multinational conglomerate Siemens to jointly deliver charging infrastructure for Volta Trucks’ customers.

  • Siemens will provide Volta Trucks’ customers with the necessary hardware and software to operate charging infrastructure for their truck fleets. Customers will also be able to access Siemens' performance management platform, an uptime optimization system.

  • The partnership looks to promote and accelerate the shift into commercial fleet electrification for Volta Trucks’ customers.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Today’s news comes just within weeks of Volta Trucks completing its first production verification prototype trucks with plans to commence series production in early 2023. We believe the partnership with Siemens will help the company to strengthen its ecosystem further and help fast-track the adoption of electric trucks among fleets.
