Chromatic 3D Materials launches a new line of 3D printers

Product updates

  • Chromatic 3D Materials, a seller of 3D printers and related products, has announced the launch of a new line of 3D printers or reactive extrusion additive manufacturing with thermoset polyurethanes, named RX-Flow.

  • Based on the company's proprietary RX-AM materials and technology platform for thermoset elastomers, the printer, which comes in two sizes, is priced at around 25% of that of a typical industrial 3D printer.

  • The printer is targeted at development work and low-volume industrial production, allowing manufacturers to test 3D printing solutions with more durable and flexible materials (compared to other available technologies like FDM and SLA).

  • Analyst QuickTake: The company seems to be expanding its portfolio demonstrated by the recent new launches such as ChromaScan software for Printing Resin on 3D Objects last week and Smooth-Mode technology in September this year, a development that allows printing polyurethane parts without post-processing or surface finishing.
