Starship Technologies, an autonomous delivery droid manufacturer, expanded its droid-based delivery service to include Leeds in Yorkshire, UK, in partnership with Leeds City Council and the convenience store chain Co-op. This marks Starship Technologies’ expansion into Yorkshire and the North of England.
Initially, the service will be available for 20,000 residents residing in the Adel and Tinshill areas of Leeds, with plans to expand operations to more locations in Leeds in the future. Customers can place orders via Starship’s mobile app, upon which droids will be deployed to deliver groceries from two Co-op stores in the area.
