Alcatraz AI, a facial recognition-based access control systems developer, announced new features to its facial authentication solution The Rock.  

The new additions are 1) Admin Portal SSO Configuration which integrates the Alcatraz AI admin platform with leading SSO companies including Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Okta, and Ping Identity to increase security and compliance, and 2) Profile Expiration which ensure only authorized individuals have access to secure areas by removing users who have not accessed the system during a defined timeframe. 

The Admin Portal SSO Configuration is available now to all customers and the Profile Expiration feature will be available in 1Q next year.

Analyst QuickTake: Previously in February last year Alcatraz AI added a three-factor authentication capability to its Alcatraz Rock facial authentication platform to improve security. On a separate note, the company raised USD 25 million in a Series A round in September this year and announced the expansion of operations to European and Middle Eastern markets last month.
