Group14 Technologies raises an additional USD 214 million in funding

Funding

  • Group14 Technologies, a next-gen battery material startup, raised USD 214 million in additional financing from a consortium, including Microsoft’s Climate Innovation Fund, Lightrock Climate Impact Fund, Moore Strategic Ventures, Oman Investment Authority, and Molice. 

  • This brings the company’s Series C funding round held in May 2022 to a total of USD 614 million and the company’s total funding to USD 756.3 million. This funding round was one of the top 10 largest financings in the climate tech sector completed in 2022, according to Pitchbook.

  • Group14 will be using this funding as well as the recent USD 100 million gran t awarded by the US Department of Energy to build its second commercial-scale BAM-2 factory.
