Canoo partners with GCC Olayan to distribute EVs in Saudi Arabia

  • Canoo, a Nasdaq-listed EV manufacturer, signed an exclusive agreement with GCC Olayan, a leading multi-national subsidiary of Olayan Saudi Holding Company, for the sale, service, and distribution of Canoo’s EVs in Saudi Arabia.

  • Under the first phase of this partnership, GCC Olayan will sell, distribute, and carry out service maintenance and repair of Canoo’s vehicles. Furthermore, Canoo and GCC Olayan will also develop a joint venture to launch a digital vehicle ecosystem that will carry out service maintenance, repair, local assembly, and manufacturing.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In 2022, Canoo signed contracts with Kingbee & Zeeba for vehicle orders of 12,300 units with an option to add 11,750 units. Furthermore, in July 2022 , the company also agreed to provide Walmart with 4,500 electric delivery vehicles.
