Flytrex, an Israeli drone-based delivery company, has obtained the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s Part 135 air carrier certificate, which allows the company to launch beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) commercial drone deliveries in the US.
The approval was obtained through Flytrex’s long-term partner and drone delivery operator, Causey Aviation Unmanned.
The company intends to expand its current operations in South Carolina and Texas across the US and to include more product items (in addition to food and retail item deliveries) to serve up to 82 million households in the future.
