Nexa3D, a seller of 3D printers and related products, announced the acquisition of XYZprinting’s selective laser sintering (SLS) business, including its technology, distribution, and services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Nexa3D will add XYZprinting’s MfgPro230xS and MfgPro236xS printers to its powder bed product portfolio and offer affordable printing solutions to the combined customer base. The two printers are capable of printing polymer components with tough mechanical and thermal properties using a range of materials.
Analyst QuickTake: Nexa3D and XYZprinting first partnered in November 2017 when XYZprinting invested in Nexa3D and agreed to manufacture and sell Nexa3D printers under the XYZ brand. On a separate note, Nexa3D has also been introducing various materials, including 32 new industrial filaments introduced in September last year.
