Innovatrics, a biometrics solutions provider based in Slovakia, announced the launch of SmartFace Embedded software development toolkit (SDK), simplifying the development of embedded face recognition solutions.
The SDK will allow users to embed facial recognition into various platforms like smart cameras, smart glasses, access control terminals, kiosks, and wearables. This would help users to achieve cost savings on hardware and eliminate the need for expensive servers and networks.
Analyst QuickTake: Earlier this year Innovatrics introduced SmartFace Embedded , incorporating edge processing capabilities in its facial recognition platform, SmartFace. It also partnered with edge computing solutions provider Blaize in May last year to develop ready-to-use facial recognition solutions for access control and public security, and with computer vision architecture Ambarella in March to enable face detection directly on original equipment manufacturer (OEM) devices.
