Geographic expansion

  • ChargePoint, an NYSE-listed EV charging solutions provider, has partnered with ALD Automotive, a provider of leasing and fleet management services, to create a European EV charging business for international and local corporate customers.

  • The joint electric Mobility Service Provider (eMSP) aims to accelerate corporate fleet electrification and will provide access to a charging network of over 485,000 charging ports across Europe using a single app. The company will also offer fleet managers a consolidated reporting and invoicing solution that provides an overview of all charging costs.

  • The company expects to begin operations in Q4 2023, and will be headquartered in Paris. The offering will be available initially in France and the Netherlands, followed by Belgium and Germany, with subsequent introduction in eight European countries by 2025.

  • Analyst QuickTake: ChargePoint also partnered with Stem, an NYSE-listed smart energy storage company, in January 2023 to accelerate the deployment of EV-charging and battery storage solutions for highway corridor DC fast charging as well as other applications, such as fleet charging, in the US.
