Seurat Technologies, a provider of on-demand additive manufacturing services, has entered a partnership with Siemens Energy to 3D print 59 tons of metal components for its turbines.
Over a six-year period, the development of parts that meet Siemens Energy's material qualification requirements will gradually increase. The primary emphasis will be on a specific part family initially, with the potential to expand volumes to incorporate additional ones later.
Analyst QuickTake: In October last year, Seurat Technologies announced that it is looking to establish a full-scale factory with a capacity of over 500 tons of metal parts per year. Even at the pitot stage, the company had received Letters of Intent (LOI) from global manufacturers to make 25 tons of metal parts.
