Refraction AI, an autonomous delivery droid developer, has extended its partnership with fast food restaurant chain Chick-fil-A to launch a droid-based food delivery service for the latter’s customers in Alpharetta, Georgia.
The droids will be deployed from Chick-fil-A’s Avalon location to its customers in the area starting this week.
Analyst QuickTake: Refraction AI first partnered with Chick-fil-A just over a year ago to introduce droid-based food deliveries for customers in Austin, Texas. Today’s expansion indicates the success of the pilot and the positive direction contactless food delivery is headed in. Chick-fil-A also piloted autonomous food deliveries in California in 2021 in partnership with peer droid operator Kiwibot.
