TeraWatt Infrastructure partners with Desert Cab

Partnerships

  • TeraWatt Infrastructure, a commercial EV-charging solutions provider, has partnered with Desert Cab, a taxi service provider in Las Vegas, to further electrify the latter’s EV fleet with software, operations, and maintenance services.

  • As such, TeraWatt will be providing charging management software, operations and maintenance services, as well as EV education and training for Desert Cab drivers. Furthermore, data gathered through TeraWatt’s platform will be used to improve the charging efficiency of Desert Cab’s fleet. Currently, 10% of Desert Cab’s fleet is electrified, and the company plans to increase this to over 50% over the next two to three years.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In September 2022 , TeraWatt raised over USD 1 billion in a Series A funding round led by Vision Ridge Partners. The company intended to use the funds to accelerate its next phase of development, which focused on growing its existing portfolio of charging centers. Furthermore, the company had already established a presence in Las Vegas when it partnered with Kaptyn, an EV mobility company, in June 2022 to establish EV charging hubs in the area.
