MedTech firm Augmedics raises USD 82.5 million in Series D funding

Funding

  • MedTech firm Augmedics raised USD 82.5 million in a Series D funding round led by CPMG, with participation from Evidity Health Capital, H.I.G. Capital, Revival Healthcare Capital, and Almeda Ventures, among others. This brings the total funds raised by Augmedics to USD 148 million. However, the company's valuation remains undisclosed.

  • The funding will be used to continue expanding Augmedics' US commercial footprint and enable mass-scale adoption of its proprietary xvision technology.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Augmedics Series D funding round has been the largest round recorded under our coverage in 2023, with other notable rounds including Light Field Lab ’s and Envisics ’ USD 50 million funding rounds earlier this year. The funding showcases confidence in Augmedics AR solutions for spinal surgery, as the company marked its 4,000th US patient treated with its xvision Spine System. In March 2021 , Augmedics raised USD 36 million in an oversubscribed Series C funding round.
