Oumph! launches vegan smash burger in Sweden

Product updates

  • LIVEKINDLY Collective's plant-based brand, Oumph!, has launched the Oumph! Smash Burger. The product is targeted at foodservice and will launch at over 80 Brodernas (a Swedish restaurant group) locations, with additional locations and retail expansion to follow.

  • According to the company, the Oumph! Smash Burger, made from peas and fava beans, offers similar flavor, juiciness, and texture as an animal-based smash burger. Currently available in Sweden, the product is expected to launch in the Netherlands and the UK soon.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This is the second vegan smash burger to hit the market so far. In May 2023, Beyond Meat launched Beyond Smashable Burger Patty into US foodservice. It was developed in collaboration with foodservice operators and designed specifically to meet the requirements of restaurants.
