Twelve, a carbon transformation startup, has commenced construction of its first commercial-scale E-Jet fuel production facility in Moses Lake, Washington.
The company leverages its carbon transformation technology to convert CO2 into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to produce E-Jet, Twelve’s fossil-free jet fuel. The facility is expected to start SAF production in mid-2024, with a capacity to produce 40,000 gallons of SAF per annum, with plans to scale up to one million gallons of SAF per annum once fully operational.
Analyst QuickTake: The initial volumes of SAF produced from this new facility will be delivered to Twelve's initial customers, which include Microsoft, Alaska Airlines, and Shopify. SAF deliveries from this E-Jet fuel facility will be used for regular airline operations, building on the previously announced three-party agreement between Alaska, Microsoft, and Twelve in July 2022 .
