Juicy Marbles debuts plant-based ribs with edible bones

Product updates

  • Juicy Marbles, a plant-based whole-cut meat developer, has debuted Bone-in Ribs, which claims to be the first plant-based ribs with edible bones. The product will launch for regular purchase in early 2024 via its website, with limited releases in the UK, EU, and US markets before that.

  • The new product aims to provide a familiar meat experience while maintaining a vegan diet. After consuming the ribs, consumers can transform the plant protein-based bones using various cooking methods into puffed, crispy snacks with protein content comparable to beef jerky.

  • AnalystQuickTake: Juicy Marbles is a leading developer of plant-based whole-cuts. Its Meat-o-matic technology aligns plant-based ingredients to create muscle texture and marbled fat, resulting in plant-based meats that are visually and texturally similar to real meat, such as the recently launched whole-cut loin that claims to be the largest in the industry and contains almost two pounds of plant-based meat.
