Nexa3D, a provider of polymer 3D-printing technology, has entered the sintering-based metal additive manufacturing space through a partnership with Headmade Materials, a developer of feedstock technology for cold metal fusion.
The partnership enables Nexa3D's customers to produce metal components using Headmade Materials' ColdMetalFusion process, which combines polymer laser sintering with powder metallurgy.
Nexa3D's QLS series printers can now produce metal parts with reliable properties, offering an alternative to traditional manufacturing methods and providing cost and time savings.
Analyst QuickTake: This move follows Nexa3D’s acquisition of XYZ's SLS technology earlier in the year, expanding its SLS capabilities. With this collaboration, Nexa3D seeks to bring its high-speed production expertise to ColdMetalFusion, emphasizing on performance and precision. This strategic partnership will enable Nexa3D to offer comprehensive services, equipment, materials, software, and knowledge to the metal manufacturing industry, aligning with its commitment to digitizing supply chains sustainably.
