Agility Robotics to open humanoid robots production facility in Oregon

Product updates

  • Agility Robotics, a developer of bipedal robots, is opening a robot manufacturing facility in Salem, Oregon, called RoboFab, capable of producing over 10,000 robots annually. The factory's initial construction began last year, with plans to open later this year, starting production with hundreds of its Digit bipedal robots.

  • The company expects to deliver the first units of “Digits” to its Partner Program participants in 2024, with plans to make the robots available for the general public in 2025.

  • Digits are primarily designed for warehouse operations today, but the company plans to introduce them for last-mile delivery.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Today’s news comes six months after the company unveiled its next-gen Digit, opening up a limited partner program, expecting deliveries in 2024 and a wider commercial rollout in 2025. The factory, once live, will help the company to materialize these goals.
