Dronamics, a UK- and Bulgaria-based middle-mile cargo drone manufacturer, has signed a letter of intent with Hellenic Post (ELTA), Greece's national postal service, to offer drone-based postal deliveries in Greece, marking the first such service in the country.

Dronamics will provide middle-mile delivery services to Hellenic Post, starting with domestic service linking the mainland to the islands, with prospects of extending this cooperation to include deliveries from Athens to major European cities. 

Furthermore, Dronamics plans to establish a same-day service connecting Athens to the industrial north and southern islands, with operations expected to start early next year.

Analyst QuickTake: Today’s partnership marks Dronamics’ second collaboration with a postal company after its first with Emirates Post Group inked in October 2023 to explore the use of cargo drones in the UAE. Furthermore, Royal Mail conducted drone-based deliveries in Scotland with Skyports , while Swizz Post partnered with Matternet for drone-based deliveries in Switzerland.
