Fictiv adds Carbon Digital Light Synthesis to 3D printing services

  • Fictiv, a company providing solutions for custom manufacturing including additive manufacturing, has introduced a new on-demand 3D printing service in the US utilizing Carbon Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) technology.

  • Carbon DLS technology claims to offer improved mechanical properties, like high-temperature resistance, and uses proprietary resins and techniques for production-level additive manufacturing. Customers are also able to instantly quote, receive feedback on design for manufacturability, and order on-demand through their digital manufacturing platform.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This news comes a month after the company announced expanded services in the US, including materials, online quoting features, and partnerships with additive manufacturers like Jabil.
