Meatable, a Dutch cell-cultured meat producer, has unveiled a new pilot facility at the Bio Science Park in Leiden to expand its cultivated pork production capabilities.
The 3,300 sq m facility, twice as large as the previous one, is equipped with a bioreactor capacity of 200 l with expansion available up to 500 l. Meatable will leverage this expansion to scale the production of its cultivated pork products and gear up for a commercial rollout in Singapore in 2024.
Analyst QuickTake: The launch of this facility comes on the back of its recent USD 35 million funding round. The combination of increased capacity and recently achieved breakthrough , which reduces cultivated meat production time to eight days will play a vital role in realizing Meatable’s commercialization plans.
