AR glasses manufacturer Rokid raised USD 112 million in a Series C funding round led by NetDragon Websoft Holdings Ltd. The funding brings Rokid's valuation to USD 1 billion.
The funds will be used to expand Rokid's reach overseas, focusing on enhancing its AR glasses and AI voice interactive operating system YodaOS. Additionally, as part of the investment, the companies formed a five-year partnership to build XR experiences leveraging NetDragon’s expertise in internet and mobile platforms.
The company aims to recover from pandemic-related setbacks and leverage the new investment and partnership to advance its expansion plans.
Analyst QuickTake: The news follows the company’s USD 160 million Series C funding round in March 2022 to focus on global expansion. The company subsequently launched the Rokid Max AR glasses in March 2023 , priced at USD 379.
