Networking and security provider Cato Networks has expanded its Cato SASE platform into the detection and response space, announcing a new extended detection and response (XDR) solution, Cato XDR.
Cato claims its new product will well leverage SASE to sidestep issues prevalent in existing XDR solutions, including long deployment times, limited data quality, and a lack of comprehensive investigation and response capability.
Cato also launched a new endpoint protection (EPP) product integrating SASE, converging threat data and user information in the same data lake as all other customer information, enabling cross-domain event correlation.
Analyst QuickTake: A number of SASE-related announcements were made this week, including Netskope ’s launch of a single-vendor solution for medium-sized businesses, SonicWall acquiring an SSE firm to bolster its capabilities, and Zscaler announcing a zero-trust focused single-vendor SASE solution.
