LanzaJet, a LanzaTech spin-off that produces sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) using low-carbon ethanol, has opened the Freedom Pines Fuels facility in Soperton, Georgia. This is the first production facility in the world to transform ethanol into SAF.
The company expects to produce 10 million gallons of drop-in SAF and renewable diesel annually and aims to reduce GHG emissions by 70% through the technology used in its facility.
