Steakholder Foods and Wyler Farms partner to create 3D-printed plant-based steaks

Partnerships

  • Steakholder Foods, an Israeli cell-cultured meat company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wyler Farms, a leader in alternative protein products, to produce a plant-based 3D-printed steak.

  • Through the partnership, Wyler Farms will leverage Steakholder Foods' Fusion Pro 3D printers and NutriBlend ink to print plant-based meat steaks. This collaboration, valued at several million dollars, claims to be the first incorporation of industrial-scale 3D printing technology in the food industry.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In 2023, Steakholder Foods launched its 3D-printed business to provide 3D-printing technology and bio inks for other hybrid and cell-cultured meat producers. The company also launched a proprietary Light CAD Editor , a software that can be used with its fusion printers, which allows B2B clients to create, test, and optimize 3D models and fibrous textures.
