Singaporean plant-based egg brand Float Foods has secured the FSSC 22000 License (Food Safety System Certification) for its Halal-certified facility. This commercial-scale facility can produce approximately 2,000 units daily, with the potential for further capacity expansion.
According to the company, its unique technology can produce egg alternatives with a similar taste and texture as traditional eggs. Float Foods will now offer its technology to producers aiming to remove hen eggs from their manufacturing processes. It has begun collaborating with multiple manufacturers to bring its products to the market.
Analyst QuickTake: In 2023, Float Foods launched Asia's first commercially available plant-based poached egg and egg yolk for foodservice. Float Foods is one of the few companies in the plant-based egg space that offers an egg alternative that includes a white and yolk, whereas companies like Zero Egg and Eat JUST offer liquid egg substitutes.
