Xreal introduces Xreal hub accessory for AR glasses

Product updates

  • Xreal announced the launch of a new accessory, the Xreal Hub, for its AR glasses. The device is designed as a charge-and-play adapter for their glasses, with shipping slated to occur in the spring of 2024 across Asia, the US, and Europe.

  • Key features include dual USB-C ports for charging, connectivity to external displays and monitors, and support for fast charging via a portable power bank. The accessory can pass through up to 120 Hz refresh rate for 2D content and up to 90 Hz refresh rate for 3D content, both in 1080p full HD.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The news follows XReal’s USD 60 million funding round in January 2024 for R&D activities and scaling its manufacturing capacity. Previous accessories launched include the Xreal Beam , which allows video content to be converted into spatial content as the company seeks to position itself as a cheaper alternative to Apple’s Vision Pro headset.
