Walmart has announced the removal of self-checkout lanes at its Steelyard Commons shopping center in Cleveland, Ohio. The decision was reportedly inspired by a combination of feedback from customers and associates, research related to store shopping trends, and “business needs within the market."

Walmart plans to continue offering its self-checkout service at its other stores in Ohio.
