Toronto-based AI startup Cohere has partnered with Amazon to incorporate Command R+ and Command R to Amazon's cloud platform, Bedrock.

The models are designed for long context tasks like advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) with citations to mitigate hallucinations, multi-step tool use to automate complex business tasks, and global business operations. They are also multilingual in 10 languages.

Analyst QuickTake: Cohere released a Command R model last month and a Command R+ model earlier this month targeting enterprise applications. Cohere has been particularly active this month with several other releases, including the launch of a private beta for embedding the model, Cohere Compass , the Rerank 3 model for enterprise search and retrieval, and a developer toolkit to build AI applications faster.
