Chunk Foods to launch new plant-based beef products

Product updates

  • Chunk Foods, a plant-based meat producer specializing in whole-cut meat alternatives, is set to launch Chunk Slabs and Chunk Cubes at the upcoming National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago. According to the company, these cuts mimic the appearance, flavor, and cooking experience of their animal counterpart and can be integrated into existing menus easily.

  • The Chunk Slab, weighing over 3 lbs, claims to be the largest plant-based meat slab yet and is developed as an alternative to brisket. On the other hand, Chunk Cubes offers a versatile alternative for items like salads and bowl toppings.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This new product development follows the company’s USD 7.5 million seed extension round and expansion into the Latin American market in partnership with Sigma Alimnetos. Chunk Foods primarily serves the foodservice sector, and these new items will help the company attract new customers.
