Revo Foods launches version 2.0 of plant-based smoked salmon slices

Product updates

  • Revo Foods, an Austrian plant-based meat company, has unveiled SMOKEY SLICES, version 2.0 of its plant-based smoked salmon slices. The updated product featuring an optimized recipe will be available in most European countries from May 15 through the company's digital platform and select Austrian retailers.

  • The new SMOKEY SLICES is available in Smokey and Dill & Lemon Style varieties. It is made from ingredients like pea protein, sea salt, fibers, essential vitamins, and microalgae oils, and claims to offer more omega-3 fatty acids than certain aquacultured salmon products.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In September 2023 , Revo Foods launched its 3D-printed whole-cut salmon filet into retail, making it the first 3D-printed alternative to launch into retail. Further, in March 2024, the company achieved another first, unveiling THE KRAKEN , which claims to be the first vegan octopus alternative.
