GOOD Meat begins first retail sale of cultivated meats with GOOD Meat 3 launch

Industry news
Product updates

  • GOOD Meat, the cultivated meats division of Eat JUST, has launched a new product called GOOD Meat 3 at Huber's Butchery in Singapore, making it the first-ever cultivated meat product to launch into retail.

  • GOOD Meat 3 is formulated using 3% cultivated chicken and plant proteins. This hybrid formulation claims to offer the same taste, texture, and experience as conventional chicken. Priced at SGD 7.2 (~USD 5.4) for a 120 g pack, this product is 108% more expensive than regular chicken products sold at FairPrice markets in Singapore.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Singapore, the first country to approve the commercial sale of cultivated meats, has further cemented its status as a leading alternative protein hub with this landmark development. On the other hand, the US, which also approved the sale of cultivated chicken last year, seems to be facing a few setbacks, with Florida and Alabama banning the sale and production of lab-grown products in the state.
