Steakholder Foods partners with ITRI to develop plant-based meat alternatives in Taiwan

Partnerships

  • Steakholder Foods, an Israeli company specializing in 3D-printed alternative protein products, has partnered with Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) to develop high-quality plant-based meat alternatives for local consumption.

  • This partnership will leverage advanced technologies and in-depth local market insights to develop plant-based meat alternatives to suit Taiwanese taste preferences. Moreover, this will facilitate the distribution of Steakholder Foods' commercial-scale 3D printers and premixes to commercial partners, enhancing its market reach in Taiwan.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In April 2024 , Steakholder Foods launched SHMeat Beef Steak and SHFish White Fish blends in the US. These plant-based blends are designed for use with 3D printing technologies and claim to mimic the taste and texture of their animal counterparts.
