Steakholder Foods, an Israeli alternative meat producer specializing in 3D-printed meats, has announced the launch of its SHMeat and SHFish blends in the US. The blends were launched following a feasibility study that confirmed compliance with Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) status.
The flagship blends, SHMeat Beef Steak and SHFish White Fish, claim to mimic the taste and texture of beef and white fish. They are designed for use in the company’s 3D printing technologies, including Drop Location in Space (DLS) and Fused Paste Layering (FPL). Additionally, the company is working on other SHMeat and SHFish blend varieties, such as Beef Asado, Beef Tenderloin, Beef Flank, Chicken Fillet, and Salmon.
Analyst QuickTake: Stakeholder Foods, a company usually associated with cell-cultured meat, has recently made strides in the plant-based meat alternatives sector.
