OpenAI has entered a global multi-year partnership with News Corp, a mass media company, to utilize News Corp's current and archived articles.
The partnership will allow OpenAI to incorporate News Corp's content within ChatGPT for user inquiries. Additionally, OpenAI will also use these resources to improve and train its AI models.
Analyst QuickTake: Earlier this month, OpenAI partnered with Reddit and Dotdash Meredith (DDM), a digital and print publisher, to enhance OpenAI's ChatGPT with verified content and train its models. The company has also been entering numerous partnerships with news content publishers. Last month, OpenAI partnered with Financial Times to incorporate news content into ChatGPT, and the month before, with French newspaper Le Monde and Spanish media company Prisa Media to access news content through ChatGPT. OpenAI has also partnered with other news organizations to license content to train AI models, including Axel Springer, Politico, and European publications Bild, Welt, and The Associated Press.
