AWS strengthens partnership with SAP to integrate AI capabilities in enterprise software solutions

Partnerships

  • AWS has enhanced its partnership with SAP to incorporate AI features into the latter's services. The collaboration is specifically designed to simplify the adoption process of the RISE with SAP solution on the AWS platform.

  • Through this partnership, SAP customers will have access to GenAI models from Amazon Bedrock, which will enable the development of customized applications. Beyond Amazon Bedrock integration, SAP also aims to use Amazon's advanced chips to power its AI infrastructure.

  • This integration is believed to allow businesses, especially in regulated sectors, to utilize GenAI and experiment with various LLMs. It is also expected to noticeably boost the performance and efficiency of SAP workloads running on the cloud.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This partnership is AWS' latest effort to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of GenAI. In May 2024 , Amazon launched Bedrock Studio, and in March 2024 , AWS partnered with Accenture and Anthropic to promote broader adoption of GenAI. Additionally, AWS was the first cloud provider certified to support the SAP portfolio.
