Einride orders 150 Peterbilt Electric trucks for autonomous freight service

Partnerships

  • Einride, a Swedish tech developer for autonomous and electric trucks, has ordered 150 Peterbilt Model 579 electric trucks from Paccar, a manufacturer of medium- and heavy-duty trucks. This is the largest Peterbilt electric truck order to date.

  • Einride plans to integrate its freight management platform, “Saga,” with Peterbilt’s hardware to provide an electrified freight capacity as a service.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The partnership will strengthen Einride’s fleet freight offering as it expands its deployments across the US and Europe. Einride’s 2024 partnerships include Heineken to deploy electric trucks for deliveries between the Netherlands and Germany and Mars to deploy a fleet of 300 electric trucks for European operations.
