Spatial video creation platform Gracia AI raises USD 1.2 million in seed funding

  • Gracia AI, a company specializing in the creation of photorealistic volumetric videos for spatial computing, raised USD 1.2 million in a funding round with participation from The Venture Reality Fund, Triptyq Capital, LVL1 Group, and Future Fund.

  • Funds were earmarked to expand Gracia AI's team and aid the launch of their new platform, which merges the features of platforms like YouTube with spatial computing capabilities.

  • Gracia AI is an AI-based company specializing in the creation of photorealistic volumetric videos for VR and AR experiences. Its AI-powered platform uses radiance fields to capture and render high-resolution 3D content with six degrees of freedom viewing, allowing precise transfer of events from the physical world to the digital realm.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The sector has seen surging interest in solutions to capture spatial videos. This includes the recent announcement of Canon ’s spatial lens for its EOS R7 camera and Blackmagic ’s launch of the URSA Cine Immersive, a camera designed for creating content for Apple's Vision Pro headset. Additionally, Evercoast acquired Depthkit to bolster spatial video production capabilities.
