OpenAI has entered a multi-year partnership with TIME magazine to incorporate TIME's archived and current journalistic content into OpenAI's products, including ChatGPT.
The partnership will enable OpenAI's products to use Time's content to respond to user inquiries, improving the user experience and promoting content accuracy.
Analyst QuickTake: Last month, OpenAI also partnered with Reddit and Dotdash Meredith (DDM), a digital and print publisher, to enhance OpenAI's ChatGPT with verified content and to train its models. The company has also been entering numerous partnerships with news content publishers. In April, OpenAI partnered with Financial Times to incorporate news content into ChatGPT, and the month before, it formed strategic partnerships with French newspaper Le Monde and Spanish media company Prisa Media to access news content through ChatGPT. OpenAI has also partnered with other news organizations to license content to train AI models, including Axel Springer, Politico, and European publications Bild and Welt and The Associated Press.
